Releasing this Friday in Michigan, L’Amour Fou is a documentary film in which cameras peer into the extravagant life of high-end fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent.

The movie pieces together a series of photos and interviews, and cameras tour several places St. Laurent lived and frequented.

The main narrator is Pierre Berge, Yves life partner, who reflects back on the dramatic life with the high end fashion designer and how he came into his success.

Yves, who started his career working for Christian Dior at young age of 21, influenced more than 5 decades of how women dress (and still does to this day).
