There has been a lot of here and there and everywhere lately. First off, I have a date with my son tomorrow to help me tape a video tutorial on embroidering Spuds face. Look for that here if you are interested. Secondly, the Spud knitalong is going great. Almost every day another completed Spud or two pops up on Ravelry. We now have over 800 comments about Spud on this thread. Also, there are 60 completed Spuds () and one is even done in Splash which is a bright blue color! I love that.

Ruminating means to think, muse and ponder. It can also mean, in medical terms, to chew on food thats already been chewed. I know that last definition is a little gross but I am talking figuratively not literally and in a design sense. Both of these definitions ring true for what I am planning.

Yesterday I gathered up an armload of Spud & Chloë Outer in nine gorgeous colors. I even cast on to play around a bit. The two colors missing from the photos are on my needles right now. I have been spending some quiet time doing research in my stitch dictionaries as well.

I hope to have more time to ruminate today.

  Last week was both exciting and dismal. We had incredible weather – real summer weather – in San Francisco, and I produced my best self-photo shoot to-date. All great things. And then my computer died. Like, DIED. It was crashing on a regular basis so I took it to the IT experts at work who discovered that my hard drive was failing. My last back up was nine months prior, so I stood to lose a lot of files. And the photo shoot I was so excited about.
