Typically when we look at runway pictures from Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, we think, um, OK, maybe we could wear that if we were, like, a foot taller. Or if it were the year 2385 and we lived on Venus. The point is, most of this high fashion stuff is way out there — and looks a little odd when worn on non-model mortals. Like us.

Burlington Coat Factory plans to open a new 74,000-square-foot store in early March at Great Northern Plaza in North Olmsted. The off-price retail chain carries brand-name women’s apparel, juniors fashions, menswear, children’s clothes, family footwear, accessories and furniture. The new location will also carry baby furniture and accessories, home decor, gifts and –of course –coats.
“We are thrilled to open a new Burlington in the North Olmsted community, bringing jobs to the neighborhood and providing residents with a valued shopping experience,” Thomas Kingsbury, Burlington Coat Factory president and chief executive officer, stated in a news release.

Short hair: Last year we said the hair trend of 2012 be Emma Watson’s superchic pixie but women would lose their nerve after plopping down in the stylist’s chair. This year, we predict women are feeling brave, empowered and ready to go for it — and Woodward agrees.
