Sometimes it’s very hard for a girl to relate to or even understand couture, simply because of the fact that it’s so gallant, lavish, and beautifully outrageous. It is hard to mimic or fathom wearing such gorgeous creations, but I usually appreciate such items due to the artistic value it carries. The Spring 2011 Couture shows this year were pretty stunning.  Chanel, Armani Prive, and Christian Dior  all stood out. Chanel smartly relied on its classic look of demure designs kept simple–soft material in the favored colors of black, white, grey, baby pink, and creme. Armani got a little “geo-tallic,” resorting to bright metallic colors and neatly cut sheath gowns. However, the real winner in my eyes was Christian Dior. John Galliano totally reinvented Hollywood glamor and took it to a whole new level. Bubble hems, lush jackets, 50′s-styled prom dresses, pencil skirts and puffy skirts, feathers, tulle, embroidery,  ball gowns and layered dresses took over the runway, with every color possible being featured in the spotlight. What do you think of these dresses featured in the runway show? What do you think of the Christian Dior Spring 2011 Collection? You can see more pictures here.
